"Initially",
explains Gorton, "everyone saw the film as being mainly on location, but
my feeling was that we should build it all. There were too many variables to
shoot on location. Not only would it be difficult to get synergy between the
different interiors and exteriors, but you have to remember that we were planning
a lot of night shoots through an English winter. So we had to think about the
animals, as well as the logistics of it all."
